“It's good to have money and the things that money can buy, but it's good, too, to check up once in a while and make sure that you haven't lost the things that money can't buy.” G. Lorimer .

The $38000 USD rent per month home

It might be located near a Christian cemetery, and might have raised some initial eyebrows – but for now it is the most expensive expensive rented home in Hong Kong.

With growing employment the cost of luxury living has naturally increased too. The owner of this four-bedroom set had initially invested HK$88million back in 2005 for this plush property at Residence Bel Air.
With more and more expatriates coming in to live in Hong Kong, and banks moving their extremely-well paid employees to the city rentals have seen a major leap. From 13% in 2010, luxury rents are expected to increase by another 15% this year. While the often preferred serviced-apartments too are expected to see a 15% leap.
This particular property at 5548 sq foot on the west-side of Hong Kong island will now be on rent for 300,000 Hong Kong dollars or $38000 USD. While the avergae rent per sq foot is HK$35, this one is charging an approximate HK$50, since it comes fully furnished as well.
The Bel Air Residence has a total of 544 apartment and 18 independent houses. The complex is very niche, and provides facilities such as a gym, pool, clubhouse, sauna and tennis court among other things.
